There is nothing like a surf mission that works out. Up at 4:30, drive 80 miles, hike 30 minutes, score perfect 8 foot left pits till the wind switches, start driving home and hear that one of your favorites spots is still going off at 6 foot plus, rally 90 miles to spot X, swim a water session, score waves with 10 strangers until sundown. 15 more miles in the car and its been a day to remember. God I love winter.
